On the occasion of the SilverEco & Ageing Well International Festival, held on September 16 & 17, 2024, at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, Business France offers French companies the opportunity to meet international buyers specialized in the Silver Economy sector.

The sectors of ageing well and demographic transition hold promising futures in France as well as internationally. At the SilverEco & Ageing Well International Festival 2024, Business France will bring foreign buyers to the Palais des Festivals in Cannes to meet and exchange with French companies and stakeholders in the Silver Economy.

Business France is inviting around fifteen foreign investors from Thailand, Australia, Canada, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and more.

Silver Economy: Dare to Export!

Business France has created the program “Export begins in France” which allows foreign investors and French ageing well companies to connect and exchange on their solutions. This program is part of the governmental Export Plan “Osez l’Export”

“Export Begins in France” in a few numbers:

  • 700 international buyers mobilized at 35 events in France
  • 1,500 French SMEs participated

This program is an excellent way for French Silver Economy companies to present their solutions directly at the Business France area of the SilverEco Festival.

Deployment of the “Osez l’Export” Plan

On Thursday, August 31, 2023, Olivier Becht, the Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in charge of Foreign Trade, Attractiveness, and French Nationals Abroad, announced the new initiatives of the governmental Export Plan.

The national agency Business France has been allocated increased resources to implement targeted actions aimed at stimulating the international development of companies, especially SMEs and mid-caps. These aids will be integrated into the Team France Export framework, which brings together Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and Bpifrance to offer comprehensive support, from guidance to financing, in connection with regional export support schemes.

Export is a crucial economic issue, involving 6 million jobs, or 22% of the active population in France. Strengthening the presence of their companies on the global stage contributes to the vitality and resilience of the French economy.

With the Export Plan, we are expanding the range of tools that Business France offers to exporting SMEs and mid-caps. Additionally, the ‘France 2030’ plan is being enriched with a resolutely international component to project the future stars onto the global stage. Our goal is twofold: to effectively support companies that have already incorporated export into their strategy and to encourage those that have not yet taken the step to engage in this dynamic.
