QardioArm : a connected sphygmonanometer to carry around everywhere
Wishing for a convenient blood pressure monitor, portable and not looking like a medical device, Marco Peluso and Rosario Iannella have launched the project QuardioAm. The project was funded up to $ 146.339, with 906 contributors, on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. It also won the Red Dot Product Design Award 2014.
It is now marketed and can be ordered on QardioArm.com website.
QardioArm is a wireless sphygmonanometerwith small dimensions (68 x 38 x 140 mm), which weighs 310g and easily carriable. It is also connected via Bluetooth to a dedicated free downloadable application on the App store.
It is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPad and iPod touch.
The recorded measurements are sent to the application and stored on Qardio’s secure cloud, which allows collected data’s tracking. These data can be shared with a doctor or with the family.
The QardioArm blood pressure monitor is priced at 109 €.
